Ingredients
Filling
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp sour cream
- ¼ cup blueberries (fresh or frozen, halved if large)
Wrapper
- 8-12 wonton wrappers (3×3 inches)
Finishing
- Olive oil spray
- ¼ cup powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Stir the mixture until it is smooth and well blended. Gently fold in the blueberries, being careful not to crush them.
- Assemble the wontons: Lay the wonton wrappers flat on a clean surface. Spoon a small amount of the cream cheese and blueberry mixture into the center of each wrapper. Lightly brush the edges of the wrapper with water to help seal them. Fold the wrapper by bringing the sides together to form a small pillow-shaped square, pressing the edges firmly to seal.
- Prepare for air frying: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking. Arrange the filled wontons in a single layer in the basket without overlapping or stacking.
- Air fry: Spray the tops of the wontons lightly with olive oil spray to promote crispiness and browning. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 6 to 8 minutes, or until the wontons are golden brown and crispy.
- Serve: Carefully remove the wontons from the air fryer basket. Dust them with powdered sugar and serve immediately while warm and crispy.
Notes
- Use fresh or frozen blueberries; if using frozen, thaw and drain excess moisture for best results.
- Do not overfill the wonton wrappers to prevent bursting during cooking.
- If you don’t have olive oil spray, lightly brush the wontons with oil using a pastry brush.
- Wontons can be kept warm in a low oven if preparing in batches.
- For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of cinnamon to the filling mixture.
