- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Serving

- Sour cream, for garnish
- Guacamole, for garnish
- Chopped cilantro, optional garnish
- Olive oil, for drizzling
Instructions
- Prepare the Fajita Seasoning: In a small bowl, combine chili powder, paprika, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Use a fork to mix thoroughly, creating the homemade fajita seasoning blend.
- Season the Chicken and Vegetables: In a large mixing bowl, add the sliced chicken breasts, onions, and bell peppers. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat evenly. Sprinkle the prepared fajita seasoning over the mixture and toss again until all pieces are well coated.
- Load the Air Fryer Basket: Transfer the seasoned chicken and vegetable mixture into the air fryer basket, spreading it out evenly for proper cooking.
- Air Fry the Fajitas: Set the air fryer to 350°F and cook for 16 to 20 minutes. Halfway through cooking, around the 9-minute mark, pause to remove the basket and toss the contents, then continue cooking until the chicken is cooked through and vegetables are tender.
- Serve and Garnish: Warm the tortillas, then serve the cooked chicken and bell pepper mixture inside. Garnish with sour cream, guacamole, and optionally chopped cilantro for a fresh finish.
Notes
- Tossing halfway during cooking ensures even browning and prevents sticking.
- Adjust seasoning to taste if you prefer milder or spicier fajitas.
- Use any combination of bell peppers you like or substitute with other vegetables like mushrooms or zucchini.
- To keep tortillas warm, wrap them in foil and place in a warm oven or microwave shortly before serving.
- For a gluten-free option, use corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas.
