Ingredients
For the Salad
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 tsp Sea salt
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
- 8 oz Romaine lettuce (chopped; or iceberg lettuce if desired)
- 1 cup Tomatoes (chopped)
- 3/4 cup Cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1/2 cup Pickles (diced)
- Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
For the Dressing
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp Pickles (diced)
- 2 tsp Mustard
- 1 tsp White vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1 1/2 tbsp Besti Powdered Monk Fruit Allulose Blend
Instructions
- Cook the Ground Beef: Add the ground beef to a large skillet over medium-high heat. You can add a little oil if needed to prevent sticking. Break the meat apart with a spatula and season evenly with sea salt and black pepper. Cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is fully browned and the moisture has evaporated, resulting in a flavorful and crumbly texture.
- Prepare the Dressing: While the beef cooks, combine all the dressing ingredients—mayonnaise, diced pickles, mustard, white vinegar, smoked paprika, and the Besti Powdered Monk Fruit Allulose Blend—into a blender. Puree until smooth. If the dressing is thicker than desired, thin it with a small amount of water or oil and blend again. Taste and adjust the sweetness as needed. Refrigerate the dressing until ready to use.
- Combine the Salad Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, add the chopped romaine lettuce, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, and diced pickles. Toss gently to mix the fresh ingredients evenly.
- Add the Ground Beef and Dressing: Add the cooked ground beef to the salad bowl. Drizzle the prepared dressing evenly over the salad components. Toss all ingredients thoroughly so every bite is coated with the creamy dressing and flavors are well distributed.
- Garnish and Serve: If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds over the top of the salad for a subtle crunch and a nod to the traditional Big Mac bun. Serve immediately to enjoy the salad at its freshest and most flavorful.
Notes
- This recipe can be customized by using iceberg lettuce for a crunchier texture.
- Feel free to swap cheddar cheese with American cheese to mimic the original Big Mac flavor more closely.
- If you want a spicier dressing, consider adding a dash of hot sauce or cayenne pepper.
- Best served fresh—leftovers should be stored separately to maintain texture and freshness.
- The powdered monk fruit sweetener can be substituted with other sweeteners like erythritol or stevia if preferred.
