Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 1 (15.25-ounce) box cake mix
Wet Ingredients
- 1/2 scant cup vegetable oil (or 7 tablespoons melted butter)
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with a silicone mat or parchment paper to prevent sticking and set it aside.
- Mix: In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, vegetable oil (or melted butter), and eggs. Stir thoroughly until the dough is fully incorporated. For easier handling, refrigerate the dough for 15 to 20 minutes to reduce stickiness.
- Scoop and Bake: Use a medium-sized scoop or spoon to dollop portions of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them adequately. If desired, add toppings such as chocolate chips or nuts at this stage. Bake the cookies for 9 to 11 minutes, or until they are set but not browned.
- Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Store the cookies in a covered container for up to 3 days to keep them fresh.
Notes
- Refrigerating the dough makes it easier to handle and helps avoid spreading during baking.
- Do not overbake; cookies should be set but not browned for the best texture.
- You can customize the cookies by adding nuts, chocolate chips, or sprinkles before baking.
- Store cookies in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
