Ingredients
Salad Mixture
- 3 cups chopped romaine lettuce
- 1 1/2 cups chopped cooked chicken (grilled, fried, or rotisserie)
- 1/3 cup Caesar dressing
- 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup homemade croutons
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Wraps
- 4 flour tortillas or wraps (10-inch)
Instructions
- Prepare the Salad Mixture: In a large bowl, combine chopped romaine lettuce, cooked chicken, Caesar dressing, grated Parmesan cheese, and homemade croutons. Use tongs to toss everything thoroughly to ensure the dressing coats all the ingredients evenly. Season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Taste the mixture and add extra dressing if desired. Set aside.
- Warm the Tortillas: Place the flour tortillas in a large pan over medium heat, warming each for about 15 to 30 seconds per side until they become soft and pliable. Alternatively, you can warm them wrapped in paper towels in the microwave for 15 to 30 seconds. Keep the warmed tortillas covered with a kitchen towel to retain their softness while you assemble the wraps.
- Assemble the Wraps: Lay the warmed tortillas flat on a clean surface. Distribute the Caesar salad mixture evenly among the tortillas, placing it in the center of each. Fold the opposite sides of the tortilla inward, then roll it up burrito-style to encase the filling. For easier handling, you can secure each wrap with a toothpick. Cut the wraps in half if preferred, or serve them whole.
Notes
- Use any cooked chicken you prefer – grilled, fried, or rotisserie all work well.
- Homemade croutons add a nice crunch but store-bought can be substituted for convenience.
- Adjust the amount of Caesar dressing to your taste preference for creaminess.
- Warming the tortillas makes them more flexible and easier to roll without cracking.
- To make this recipe gluten-free, substitute flour tortillas with gluten-free wraps.
