Ingredients
For the Taco Sticks
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 1 tube Pillsbury Pizza Dough
- 5 colby jack and cheddar cheese sticks, halved (10 halves total)
For the Garlic Butter
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure even baking.
- Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, crumbling it with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat, then add the taco seasoning according to the packet instructions. Stir well to combine and set aside to cool slightly.
- Prepare the Dough: Unroll the Pillsbury Pizza Dough onto a lightly floured surface. Cut the dough evenly into 10 rectangles.
- Assemble the Taco Sticks: Place a spoonful of the seasoned beef on each rectangle, then add a halved cheese stick on top of the beef. Roll the dough around the filling, pinching firmly to seal the edges. Arrange the taco sticks seam-side down on your prepared baking sheet.
- Brush with Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley. Generously brush this garlic butter mixture over each taco stick.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is cooked through and golden brown.
- Serve: Let the taco sticks cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy them with salsa, guacamole, or sour cream for dipping!
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a few jalapeño slices to the inside of each taco stick before rolling.
