Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Seasonings
- 1 tsp dried sage
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Binding & Liquids
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- Olive oil, for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready for baking your stuffing balls to golden perfection.
- Combine the Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, fresh cranberries, breadcrumbs, onion, celery, garlic, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Ensure all the ingredients are evenly distributed for balanced flavor in every bite.
- Add Wet Ingredients: Beat the eggs lightly, then add them to the mixture along with the chicken broth. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is well combined and moist, but not soaking wet.
- Form the Stuffing Balls: With slightly damp hands, take about a heaping tablespoon of the mixture and roll into balls approximately 1 to 1½ inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.
- Arrange for Baking: Ensure the stuffing balls are evenly spaced on the baking sheet so they cook uniformly and develop a nice crust.
- Bake: Drizzle a small amount of olive oil over the tops of the balls. Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes or until the stuffing balls are golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and allow the stuffing balls to rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy them warm, as an appetizer or a festive side dish alongside your favorite sauces or gravies.
