Ingredients
Strawberries
- 12 large strawberries
Filling
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Topping
- Crushed graham crackers, for topping
Instructions
- Prepare Strawberries: Slice each strawberry in half lengthwise. Using a small spoon or the tip of a paring knife, carefully hollow out a small well in the center of each half to hold the filling.
- Make the Filling: In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth, fluffy, and pipeable.
- Fill Strawberries: Transfer the cream cheese mixture into a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe the filling into the hollowed wells of each strawberry half, creating a decorative swirl resembling deviled eggs.
- Add Topping and Serve: Sprinkle crushed graham crackers on top of the filling for added crunch and flavor. Serve the deviled strawberries immediately to enjoy their freshness and texture.
Notes
- Use fresh, firm strawberries for best results.
- For easier piping, make sure the cream cheese is fully softened before mixing.
- These are best served fresh, but can be refrigerated for up to 4 hours before serving.
- To keep the strawberries from releasing too much juice, pat them dry after rinsing.
- Can be made vegan by substituting cream cheese and heavy cream with plant-based alternatives.
