  • Total Time: 3 hours 35 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings

Ingredients

Crust

  • 46 regular Oreos (family sized package)
  • 6 Tablespoons butter, melted

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons cold milk
  • 1 cup Cool Whip

Pudding Layer

  • 2 (3.9-ounce) packages dry chocolate instant pudding
  • 3 1/4 cups cold milk

Topping

  • 11 ounces Cool Whip (remaining amount)
  • Reserved 3/4 cup crushed Oreo crumbs
  • 12 Marshmallow Peeps
  • 1/2 cup mini Cadbury eggs or M&M eggs (optional)
  • Edible green grass

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oreo crust: In a food processor or blender, crush 46 whole Oreos into fine crumbs. Remove and set aside 3/4 cup of the crumbs for topping later. Mix the remaining crumbs with 6 tablespoons of melted butter until combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Chill in the freezer or refrigerator for 5 minutes to set.
  2. Make the cream cheese layer: In a medium bowl, whip 8 ounces of softened cream cheese using an electric mixer until fluffy. Add 1/4 cup granulated sugar and 2 tablespoons cold milk, mixing until smooth. Gently fold in 1 cup of Cool Whip. Spread this cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled Oreo crust. Return the dish to the freezer or fridge for 5 to 10 minutes to firm up.
  3. Prepare the pudding layer: In another bowl, whisk together 2 packages of dry chocolate instant pudding mix with 3 1/4 cups of cold milk until it thickens. Spread the pudding layer evenly over the chilled cream cheese layer. Place back in the refrigerator for another 5 to 10 minutes to allow the pudding to set properly.
  4. Add the topping and decorations: Spread the remaining Cool Whip over the set pudding layer. Sprinkle the reserved Oreo crumbs evenly on top. Chill the entire dessert in the fridge for about 2 hours to fully set. Just before serving, decorate by placing one marshmallow Peep on each serving piece and sprinkling with mini Cadbury eggs or M&M eggs, as well as edible green grass for a festive touch.

Notes

  • For a firmer crust, crush the Oreos very finely and press they mixture tightly into the dish.
  • You can substitute Cool Whip with homemade whipped cream for a fresher taste.
  • If you prefer a less sweet dessert, reduce the sugar in the cream cheese layer.
  • Allow sufficient chilling time to ensure each layer sets properly for clean slices.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
