- Microwave and mix again: Continue microwaving for an additional 30 seconds, stirring at 15 seconds. The mixture should become thick, creamy, and fluffy.
- Add Dots candy: Fold in 2 cups of Dots Fruity Candy, mixing gently to distribute evenly without melting the candies.
- Spread mixture on pan: Quickly transfer the nougat mixture to the prepared pan, working fast as it cools quickly. This step can be messy, so be prepared.
- Smooth mixture: Use clean hands sprayed with nonstick spray to evenly spread and smooth the mixture across the pan.
- Chill: Refrigerate for at least 6 hours until fully set. For faster setting, freeze for about 2 hours.
- Cut into squares: Once firm, remove the nougat from the pan using the parchment paper. Place on a cutting board and spray a knife with nonstick spray. Cut into 1-1/2 inch cubes. Store pieces in the refrigerator or freezer between layers of wax or parchment paper to prevent sticking.
