Ingredients
Beef Filling
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Wraps
- 4 large flour tortillas
Garlic Butter
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Optional Garnish
- Pickles, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
- Cook the Beef: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 7–8 minutes.
- Season the Beef: Stir the Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper into the cooked beef. Mix well to combine, then remove from the heat and let cool slightly.
- Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, melt the butter. Mix in the minced garlic until well combined. Set aside.
- Assemble the Rollups: Place the flour tortillas on a flat surface. Evenly divide the beef mixture among the tortillas, then sprinkle with the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
- Roll and Seal: Roll each tortilla up tightly, making sure the filling is wrapped securely inside.
- Brush with Garlic Butter: Using a pastry brush, coat each rollup with the prepared garlic butter, covering the tops and sides.
- Bake: Place the rollups seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Slice into pinwheels if desired, garnish with pickles if using, and serve warm.
Notes
- Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the beef mixture for a spicier kick.
- Experiment with other cheeses like pepper jack or provolone for a flavor twist.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best texture and taste.
