Ingredients
Sandwiches
- King’s Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet Rolls, cut individually and then each roll cut into thirds
- Sliced cheddar cheese, quantity as needed for layering
Garlic Herb Butter
- 4 tbsp butter, softened
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tbsp parsley
Instructions
- Prepare Garlic Herb Butter: In a small bowl, mix the softened butter thoroughly with oregano, garlic powder, and parsley until evenly combined.
- Prep Rolls: Cut King’s Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet Rolls individually, then slice each roll into thirds horizontally to create mini sandwich-sized pieces. Spread the garlic herb butter generously on each slice of the rolls.
- Assemble Sandwiches: Place sliced cheddar cheese between two buttered pieces of the Hawaiian roll to form mini sandwiches. Arrange them on a baking sheet evenly spaced.
- Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the mini grilled cheese sandwiches on the baking sheet for 20-25 minutes, flipping them halfway through baking to ensure even toasting and melting of cheese.
- Serve: Remove from oven and serve warm. Optionally, pair with your favorite tomato soup for dipping to add a comforting touch.
Notes
- You can adjust the amount of garlic herb butter to taste for a stronger or milder flavor.
- Flip sandwiches carefully during baking to avoid spilling the melted cheese.
- These mini sandwiches are great for parties or as finger food snacks.
- Use freshly sliced cheddar cheese for best melting results.
- For a crispier texture, you can broil the sandwiches for 1-2 minutes after baking, watching closely to avoid burning.
