Ingredients
For the Strawberry Lemonade
- 1 ¼ lb fresh strawberries, stems removed
 - 1 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
 - ¾ cup cane sugar
 - 4 cups water, chilled
 - ice, as needed
 
For Garnish
- few fresh mint leaves
 - few strawberry slices
 
Instructions
- Blend Strawberries, Sugar & Lemon Juice: In a blender jar, combine the strawberries, cane sugar, and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Blend until the mixture is completely pureed and smooth.
 - Strain the Mixture: Pour the puree through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or pitcher to remove the gritty seeds and pulp from the strawberries, resulting in a smoother lemonade base.
 - Combine with Water: Transfer the strained mixture into a large pitcher. Pour in the chilled water and stir well until fully combined.
 - Chill and Serve: Allow the lemonade to chill in the refrigerator for a short while before serving to ensure it’s nice and cold.
 - Garnish and Enjoy: Pour the strawberry lemonade into glasses over ice cubes. Garnish with sliced strawberries and fresh mint leaves as desired. Serve immediately for best taste.
 
Notes
- Add more sugar if you prefer a sweeter lemonade; the recipe as written creates a more tart and refreshing drink.
 - Tear and add a few extra mint leaves to the pitcher for a stronger minty aroma.
 - For a sparkling drink, substitute half the water with chilled sparkling water just before serving.
