Ingredients
For the Lemonade
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 1 cup peach syrup (homemade or store-bought)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes, as needed
For Garnish (Optional)
- Peach slices
- Lemon slices
Instructions
- Prepare the Peach Syrup: If using homemade, simmer chopped ripe peaches with sugar and water over medium heat until the peaches are soft and the mixture is syrupy. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to obtain your peach syrup. Cool to room temperature. If using store-bought, skip this step.
- Make the Lemonade Base: In a large pitcher, mix together 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice with 4 cups of cold water. Stir well to combine, ensuring the lemon juice is evenly diluted.
- Add the Peach Syrup: Pour 1 cup of peach syrup into the lemonade base and stir thoroughly. Taste the mixture; if you prefer it sweeter, add more syrup. For a more diluted taste, add a bit more water and mix well.
- Serve: Fill your glasses generously with ice cubes. Pour the peach lemonade over the ice, then garnish with peach and lemon slices as desired. Serve immediately for maximum freshness, and enjoy!
Notes
- Use ripe, fragrant peaches for the best-flavored syrup.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more syrup or water after tasting.
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice offers optimal flavor, but bottled juice can be a convenient alternative.
- This recipe can be easily doubled for gatherings.
