These No Bake Peanut Butter Bars are a delicious and easy-to-make treat perfect for any occasion. Combining a smooth peanut butter base with a luscious chocolate topping, they require no baking and come together quickly, then chill to set for a delightfully rich and creamy dessert bar.

  • Total Time: 6 hours 15 minutes
  • Yield: 20 bars

Ingredients

Base

  • 2 ¼ cups powdered sugar
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 ¼ cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping

  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the baking dish: Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with foil and spray it with cooking spray to ensure easy removal of the bars later. Set aside.
  2. Make the peanut butter base: In a large bowl, combine the powdered sugar, graham cracker crumbs, 1 ¼ cups creamy peanut butter, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until the mixture is smooth and evenly mixed.
  3. Spread the base: Evenly spread the peanut butter mixture onto the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Set aside while you prepare the chocolate topping.
  4. Prepare the chocolate topping: In a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and remaining ½ cup creamy peanut butter. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir, then microwave for another 30 seconds. Continue microwaving in 15-second intervals as needed, stirring between each, until the chocolate mixture is fully melted and smooth.
  5. Add the topping: Pour and spread the melted chocolate and peanut butter mixture evenly over the peanut butter base in the baking dish.
  6. Chill to set: Place the baking dish in the refrigerator and chill for at least 6 hours, or until the bars are firm and set.
  7. Serve: Use the foil to lift the bars out of the dish, cut into 20 squares, and serve chilled for best results.

Notes

  • These bars are best served chilled to prevent the topping from melting.
  • You can cut the bars into larger squares if preferred.
  • Feel free to use semi-sweet, milk, or dark chocolate for the topping according to your taste.
  • Crunchy peanut butter can substitute creamy peanut butter for added texture.
  • These bars can be frozen for longer storage.
  • Ensure to refrigerate the bars for about 6 hours for them to fully set and chill properly.
