Ingredients
Hummus Base
- 15 oz (400 g) olives, pitted (plus more for garnish)
- 1 15 oz (400 g) can chickpeas, drained
- 2-3 tablespoons tahini
- 3 tablespoons olive oil (plus more for garnish)
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) water
- Pinch of salt
- 1-2 garlic cloves (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Gather all ingredients including pitted olives, drained chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, water, salt, and optional garlic cloves to have everything ready for blending.
- Blend Ingredients: Transfer all ingredients to a blender or food processor. Process until the mixture becomes creamy and smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides if needed to ensure even blending.
- Serve and Garnish: Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl, garnish with additional whole olives and a drizzle of olive oil on top for extra flavor and a beautiful presentation. Serve immediately with pita bread, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
- You can adjust the amount of garlic to taste or omit it if you prefer a milder flavor.
- Add more water if you want a thinner consistency.
- This hummus can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or smoked paprika.
