Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 18–20 dumplings (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup full-fat coconut cream
- 1 cup vegetable or chicken broth
- 2 tbsp red curry paste
- 1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp lime juice
Garnish
- Cilantro
- Scallions, sliced
- Sesame seeds
- Chili oil
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the dumplings.
- Warm Broth: Heat the vegetable or chicken broth in the microwave until hot. This step helps the red curry paste dissolve smoothly into the sauce.
- Mix Sauce: In a baking dish, whisk together the warm broth, full-fat coconut cream, red curry paste, soy sauce or tamari, honey, and lime juice until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Add Dumplings: Place the dumplings directly into the baking dish with the curry sauce. Spoon some sauce over the dumplings to coat them nicely.
- Cover and Bake: Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil, then bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes. This steams the dumplings and allows them to absorb the curry flavors.
- Uncover and Finish Baking: Remove the foil and continue baking uncovered for an additional 10 minutes, or until the dumplings are tender and lightly golden on top.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle the baked dumplings with freshly chopped cilantro, sliced scallions, sesame seeds, and drizzle with chili oil for an added kick before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh or frozen dumplings based on availability; frozen do not need to be thawed before baking.
- Adjust the amount of red curry paste depending on your spice preference.
- For a vegan option, ensure dumplings are plant-based and use vegetable broth and vegan honey alternatives.
- Covering with foil is essential to steam the dumplings and prevent drying out during the initial baking phase.
- Garnishes add texture and flavor but can be omitted or customized as desired.
