Ingredients
Ingredients
- 2 Bananas, cut into 1/2″ pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 Tablespoon butter
- 2 Tablespoons raw honey, or regular honey
Instructions
- Prepare the cinnamon honey butter: In a frying pan over medium-high heat, combine the cinnamon, butter, and honey. Stir gently until the butter is fully melted and all ingredients are well combined into a smooth glaze.
- Cook banana slices (first side): Add the banana pieces to the pan in a single layer. Cook for about 4 minutes without stirring until the bottoms begin to caramelize and turn a golden brown color. Adjust heat as necessary to prevent burning.
- Flip and cook the other side: Carefully turn all the banana pieces over and cook for an additional 4 minutes until the other side is also golden brown and caramelized.
- Serve immediately: Remove the bananas from the pan and serve right away, ideal as a topping on ice cream, yogurt, pancakes, or French toast for added warmth and sweetness.
Notes
- Use ripe but firm bananas to hold their shape during cooking.
- Adjust cooking time if bananas are softer or if you prefer a deeper caramelization.
- Honey can be substituted with maple syrup for a different flavor profile.
- Serve immediately for best texture and taste; caramelized bananas become softer as they cool.
