- 1 loaf of Italian bread or French bread
- 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter (softened; use vegan butter as desired)
- 3 cloves garlic (finely minced)

- Slice the bread: Cut the loaf horizontally into two halves for even spread and baking.
- Prepare the garlic butter mixture: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter with finely minced garlic and chopped parsley. Mix well to distribute the flavors evenly.
- Spread the mixture: Evenly spread the garlic butter mixture over both halves of the bread. Then sprinkle the chopped peperoncini on top, followed by a light seasoning of salt and pepper to taste.
- Bake the bread: Place the prepared bread halves in the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 13 minutes or until the bread reaches your desired crispiness.
- Serve and enjoy: Remove from oven, slice as needed, and serve warm as a delicious appetizer or side dish.
Notes
- You can substitute vegan butter to make this recipe vegan-friendly.
- Adjust the amount of peperoncini according to your desired level of tang and heat.
- For extra crispiness, broil the bread for the last 1-2 minutes but watch carefully to prevent burning.
- Fresh parsley adds brightness, but you can substitute with dried parsley if needed (use 1 teaspoon dried).
- Leftover bread can be reheated in the oven for a few minutes to retain crispiness.
