This Peppermint Espresso Martini is a festive, dairy-free holiday cocktail combining the rich flavors of espresso and coffee liqueur with the refreshing taste of peppermint schnapps and smooth vanilla vodka.   • 2 ounces Vanilla Vodka
  • 1 ounce Kahlua
  • 1 ounce Espresso, cooled
  • ½ ounce Peppermint Schnapps

Peppermint Rim

  • 2 Candy Canes, crushed
  • Honey (for rimming)

Instructions

  1. Rim the glass. Rim the edge of a cocktail glass by first coating it with honey or simple syrup, then dip the rim into crushed candy canes to create a festive peppermint crust.
  2. Brew the espresso. Prepare a shot of espresso using an espresso machine or alternatively purchase a fresh shot from a coffee shop. Allow it to cool to room temperature before use.
  3. Shake the cocktail. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the cooled espresso, vanilla vodka, Kahlua, and peppermint schnapps. Shake vigorously until the mixture is well chilled and a light foam forms on top.
  4. Strain and serve. Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass with the peppermint rim. Optionally, garnish with a dusting of espresso powder and a few coffee beans. Serve immediately and enjoy responsibly.
