Ingredients
Dip Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup sour cream (4 oz)
- 1/2 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco hot sauce (or to taste)
- 4 oz smoked salmon (about 1 cup chopped)
- 1 tablespoon chives (chopped, plus more for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Base: In the bowl of a food processor, combine 8 oz softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup sour cream, 1/2 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco hot sauce. Pulse the mixture until well blended and smooth.
- Add Salmon and Chives: Add 4 oz of chopped smoked salmon and 1 tablespoon of chopped chives to the food processor. Pulse a few times just to incorporate the ingredients, ensuring the salmon pieces remain slightly chunky for texture.
- Season and Chill: Taste the dip and adjust seasoning with additional salt or pepper if desired. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, garnish with extra chopped chives, and refrigerate until ready to serve to enhance the flavors.
Notes
- Ensure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easier blending and smooth texture.
- Smoked salmon can vary in saltiness, so taste before adding extra salt.
- This dip can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
