Ingredients
Sugar Rim
- 1 lime wedge
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
Mojito Base
- 3–4 fresh mint leaves (plus more for garnish)
- 2 large strawberries, stems removed (plus extra for garnish if desired)
- 1.5 tablespoons lime juice
- 1.5 tablespoons simple syrup
- Ice cubes, as needed
- Splash of tonic water
Instructions
- Sugar Rim: Rub a lime wedge around the rim of your glass. Spread the granulated sugar on a small plate, then invert the glass and dip the rim into the sugar, ensuring the edge is fully coated. Set the glass aside to let the sugar set.
- Muddle: Place the mint leaves in the prepared glass. Use a cocktail muddler to gently muddle the mint, releasing its oils. Chop one large strawberry into small chunks and add it to the glass, then muddle again to blend the flavors. Fill the glass with ice cubes to chill the mixture and set aside.
- Blend: In a small blender or food processor, combine the remaining large strawberry, lime juice, and simple syrup. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth. Pour this strawberry-lime blend over the ice, mint, and muddled strawberry in the glass.
- Add Tonic Water & Serve: Top the drink with a splash of tonic water. Stir gently to combine. Garnish with extra mint leaves and a sliced strawberry if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For a less sweet drink, reduce the amount of simple syrup.
- Use club soda instead of tonic water for a lighter, less bitter taste.
- This recipe can be doubled or tripled for parties.
- To make it a cocktail, add a shot of white rum before adding tonic water.
