Ingredients
For the Boursin Dip
- ½ cup full-fat sour cream
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 (5.2-ounce) wheel Boursin cheese, any flavor, at room temperature
Serving Suggestions (All Optional)
- Crostini
- Buttery crackers
- Tortilla chips
- Carrot sticks
- Celery sticks
Instructions
- Combine ingredients: Add ½ cup full-fat sour cream, ½ cup mayonnaise, and one 5.2-ounce wheel of room temperature Boursin cheese to a large mixing bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer.
- Mix until smooth: Using a hand mixer or stand mixer on low speed, beat the ingredients together until the mixture is fully combined, smooth, and creamy, ensuring no lumps remain.
- Serve or chill: Transfer the finished Boursin dip to a serving bowl and serve immediately with your choice of dippers like crostini or vegetables. Alternatively, cover the mixing bowl with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate. Remove from fridge 30 minutes before serving to allow the dip to warm to room temperature.
Notes
- Allowing Boursin cheese to come to room temperature before mixing ensures a smoother, creamier dip.
- Chilling the dip enhances the flavors, but letting it warm slightly before serving improves texture and taste.
- Choose your favorite flavor of Boursin cheese (garlic & fine herbs, shallot & chive, etc.) to customize the dip.
- This dip pairs wonderfully with a wide variety of crackers, chips, and fresh vegetables for dipping.
- Make ahead and store covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days for best freshness.
