Ingredients
For the crispy air fryer salmon bites:
- 1 lb. Salmon Fillet, cut into large chunks (skin on)
- 4 Garlic Cloves, minced
- Zest from Half a Lemon
- ⅓ cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly shredded
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Paprika
- ½ tsp Italian Seasoning
- ½ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Black Pepper
- Cooking Spray
For serving:
- Lemon Wedges
- Parsley, minced
Instructions
- Prep the salmon: Pat the salmon fillet very dry with paper towels. Using a sharp chef knife, cut the salmon into large chunks leaving the skin on. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, shredded Parmesan cheese, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and lemon zest. Rub this mixture all over the salmon chunks, massaging the flavors into the flesh thoroughly.
- Preheat the air fryer: Let the salmon bites sit at room temperature while preheating the air fryer to 400℉ (about 200℃) for 3-4 minutes. This step ensures the salmon cooks evenly, and the preheated air fryer helps achieve a crispy skin.
- Air fry the salmon bites: Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the salmon chunks skin side down in the basket, leaving space between pieces for even air circulation. Cook for 7-9 minutes until the salmon is crispy on the outside and flaky inside. If needed, work in batches to avoid overcrowding.
- Remove carefully: Use a fish spatula or tongs to gently remove the crispy salmon bites from the basket to avoid breaking them. Repeat with any remaining salmon in batches.
- Serve: Plate the crispy salmon bites and garnish with freshly minced parsley. Serve with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the top. Enjoy as a flavorful appetizer, lunch, or snack either on their own or paired with your favorite sides and dips.
