- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt
Toppings (Optional)
- Whipped cream or dairy-free Cocowhip
- Chocolate shavings
Instructions
- Heat the milk: Pour 1 cup of your preferred milk into a pot and heat it over medium heat on the stove until warm but not boiling.
- Mix in ingredients: Whisk in 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder, 1 tablespoon cacao powder, 1 teaspoon maple syrup, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Simmer gently: Continue stirring the mixture over medium-low heat for 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the hot chocolate to heat through evenly.
- Serve and garnish: Pour the hot chocolate into your favorite mug. Add optional toppings such as whipped cream or dairy-free Cocowhip and sprinkle with chocolate shavings if desired. Enjoy immediately.
Notes
- Use any type of milk you prefer, such as cow’s milk, almond milk, oat milk, or soy milk.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup to taste.
- For a vegan-friendly version, use plant-based milk and dairy-free whipped topping.
- To make it extra creamy, use whole milk or add a splash of cream.
- This recipe makes one serving but can easily be doubled or tripled for more.
- Be careful not to overheat the milk to avoid scorching or boiling over.
