Fresh Strawberry Lemonade is a refreshing, homemade beverage combining the vibrant flavors of ripe strawberries and tangy lemons. This easy-to-make drink uses simple ingredients and requires just 10 minutes to prepare, perfect for hot summer days or any time you crave a sweet, citrusy treat.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 10 servings

Ingredients

Produce

  • 6 large lemons (about 2 cups of juice)
  • 1 pound fresh strawberries (cleaned and hulled)

Liquids & Sweeteners

  • 8 cups water (divided: 1 cup for strawberry puree, 1 cup for sugar syrup, 6 cups for lemonade)
  • 1 cup white sugar (or maple syrup, agave, or honey as alternatives)

Instructions

  1. Juice the lemons: Juice 6 large lemons to yield approximately 2 cups of fresh lemon juice and pour it into a large pitcher.
  2. Prepare strawberry puree: Place 1 pound of cleaned and hulled fresh strawberries into a blender with 1 cup of water.
  3. Blend strawberries: Blend the strawberries and water until a smooth puree forms.
  4. Strain the mixture: Strain the strawberry puree through a fine sieve to remove pulp and seeds, then add the smooth strawberry juice to the pitcher with lemon juice.
  5. Make sugar syrup: In a large saucepan, combine 1 cup of white sugar and 1 cup of water, heat until the mixture boils and the sugar dissolves completely. Allow to cool.
  6. Combine liquids: Pour the remaining 6 cups of water into the pitcher containing lemon and strawberry juices, then add the cooled sugar syrup.
  7. Mix thoroughly: Stir the lemonade mixture until all components are well blended.
  8. Serve: Pour the fresh strawberry lemonade over ice cubes in glasses.
  9. Enjoy: Drink immediately and enjoy the refreshing taste of homemade strawberry lemonade.

Notes

  • For a natural sweetener alternative, substitute white sugar with maple syrup, agave nectar, or honey.
  • Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of sugar syrup according to taste preferences.
  • Straining the strawberry puree is optional but recommended for a smoother texture.
  • Serve chilled or over ice for the best refreshing experience.
  • This recipe yields approximately 10 servings.
