Ingredients
For the Beef Mixture

- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt

- ½ cup chopped peeled cucumber
- 1 teaspoon dill weed
- ¼ teaspoon salt

- 4 pita breads, warmed

Instructions
- Cook the Beef Mixture: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook and crumble the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic for 8-10 minutes, until the beef is no longer pink and the onion is tender.
- Season the Beef: Stir in the dried oregano and ½ teaspoon of salt into the beef mixture. Remove the skillet from heat and set the beef aside.
- Prepare the Yogurt Sauce: In a small bowl, combine the plain Greek yogurt, seeded and chopped tomato, peeled chopped cucumber, dill weed, and the remaining ¼ teaspoon salt. Mix well to blend all ingredients.
- Assemble the Pitas: Divide the cooked beef mixture evenly among the warmed pita breads.
- Add Toppings and Serve: Top each pita with a generous amount of the yogurt sauce and additional chopped tomatoes, lettuce, and cucumber. Serve immediately for best freshness.
