This refreshing Iced Fresh Mint Mocha combines the rich flavors of ground coffee and cacao powder with the bright, herbal notes of fresh mint leaves. Steeped in hot water and served over ice with milk and a touch of maple syrup, this beverage is a delightful, energizing treat perfect for warm weather or any time you want a cool coffee twist.

  • Total Time: 9 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients

Coffee Base

  • 3 tablespoons ground coffee
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
  • 3/4 cup boiling water

To Serve

  • 2 cups milk
  • Maple syrup to taste
  • Ice cubes (quantity as needed)

Instructions

  1. Steep the Coffee and Mint: Add the ground coffee, fresh mint leaves, and raw cacao powder to a French Press. Pour in the boiling water and allow the mixture to steep for 4 minutes to extract the flavors thoroughly.
  2. Press and Serve: Press the plunger of the French Press down slowly to separate the grounds and mint from the brewed coffee. Fill two glasses with ice cubes. Pour the freshly brewed coffee mixture evenly into the two glasses.
  3. Add Milk and Sweetener: To each glass, add 1 cup of milk and sweeten with maple syrup to your taste. Stir gently to combine all ingredients before serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger mint flavor, add more fresh mint leaves during the steeping process.
  • Use any type of milk based on your preference: dairy, almond, oat, or soy.
  • Adjust the maple syrup quantity according to your desired sweetness level.
  • To make the drink vegan, opt for plant-based milk and ensure the maple syrup is pure and unprocessed.
  • For a cold brew version, steep the mixture overnight in cold water instead of using boiling water.
