- ½ cup extra virgin olive oil (120 ml)
- 2 tsp honey (10 ml) or sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (15 ml)
- 3 tbsp Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ¾ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp ground black pepper
- ¼-½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: Gather all the ingredients including olive oil, honey, lemon juice, Parmesan, and dried herbs and spices.
- Whisk or Shake: In a small bowl or jar, whisk the ingredients vigorously or close the jar and shake well until the dressing is thoroughly combined and emulsified.
- Serve or Store: Use immediately over salads or store in the refrigerator for up to one week. Shake or whisk again before each use as ingredients may separate.
Notes
- Freshly grated Parmesan will give the best flavor and texture to the dressing.
- You can adjust the crushed red pepper flakes to your preferred spice level.
- If using sugar instead of honey, adjust quantity to taste.
- Store the dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator and shake well before serving.
- This dressing works well as a marinade for grilled vegetables or chicken.
