These Keto Philly Cheesesteak Protein Bowls are a delicious low-carb meal featuring tender sautéed ribeye steak, sautéed bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms, creamy cheese, and melted mozzarella. Ready in just 30 minutes, this recipe is perfect for a quick and satisfying keto-friendly dinner.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Meat Mixture

  • 3 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds Thinly Shaved Ribeye Steak Meat
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 4 ounces Cream Cheese (softened)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Vegetable Mixture

  • 6 ounces Sliced Mushrooms
  • 1/2 Red Bell Pepper (sliced)
  • 1/2 Green Bell Pepper (sliced)
  • 1/2 Onion (sliced)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Finishing

  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat oil and cook steak: Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, sauté the thinly shaved ribeye steak meat until it is cooked through and no longer pink.
  2. Season the steak: Drain any excess fat from the skillet and stir in Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and salt and pepper to taste. Continue to sauté for another 30 seconds over medium heat to combine flavors.
  3. Add cream cheese to steak: Mix in the softened cream cheese with the cooked meat until well combined and creamy. Remove the meat mixture from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Sauté vegetables: Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the same skillet and heat over medium heat. Add the sliced onions, red and green bell peppers, and mushrooms. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Assemble protein bowls: Place a quarter of the meat mixture into each serving bowl. Top each with a quarter of the sautéed vegetable mixture, then sprinkle with 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese.
  6. Serve and enjoy: Repeat the assembly for all four servings and serve the protein bowls warm for a rich and satisfying keto meal.

Notes

  • Use thinly shaved ribeye or any high-quality thinly sliced steak for best texture and flavor.
  • Softened cream cheese blends easier and gives a creamy texture to the meat mixture.
  • Adjust vegetables and cheese quantities according to your preferences or dietary needs.
  • For a dairy-free version, omit cream cheese and mozzarella or use dairy-free alternatives.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated gently on the stovetop or microwave.
