A refreshing and naturally sweetened Peach Green Tea recipe that combines the delicate flavor of green tea with the juicy sweetness of fresh peaches. Perfectly chilled and served over ice, it makes a delightful and healthy beverage for any time of day.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

For the Peach Puree

  • 1 large peach, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup water

For the Tea

  • 4 cups water
  • 3 green tea bags
  • Honey, to taste (optional)
  • Ice cubes, for serving
  • Fresh peach slices and mint sprigs, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Peach Puree: Place the peeled and chopped peach into a blender along with 1/2 cup water. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth, forming a fresh peach puree.
  2. Boil Water and Steep Tea: Pour the remaining 3 1/2 cups of water and the peach puree into a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, remove the saucepan from heat and add the three green tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 3 to 5 minutes to infuse the flavors.
  3. Strain the Tea: Using a fine sieve, strain the tea into a pitcher to remove any peach flecks or tea leaves, ensuring a smooth beverage.
  4. Sweeten the Tea: Stir in honey gradually and adjust the sweetness to your liking. The honey is optional, depending on your preferred level of sweetness.
  5. Chill and Serve: Place the pitcher in the refrigerator to chill thoroughly. When ready to serve, pour the peach green tea over ice cubes in glasses. Garnish with fresh peach slices and a sprig of mint for an appealing presentation and enhanced aroma.

Notes

  • The peach puree adds natural sweetness and flavor; omit honey if preferred.
  • If peaches are not in season, frozen peaches can be used as a substitute.
  • Adjust steeping time for stronger or lighter tea flavor as desired.
  • For a vegan version, substitute honey with agave syrup or another plant-based sweetener.
  • Serve immediately after chilling for the freshest taste.
