Ingredients
Milk Base
- 1 cup / 240 ml / 8 fl oz milk of choice (dairy or non-dairy alternative)
Main Ingredients
- 1/4 cup / 50 g / 1.7 oz pumpkin puree or canned pumpkin
- 1 tbsp clear honey (or maple syrup)
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
Garnish
- Dollop of whipped cream
- Pinch of pumpkin pie spice
Instructions
- Prepare the Cold Pumpkin Spice Milk: Add the milk, pumpkin puree, honey, and pumpkin pie spice into a blender. Blend until smooth. Alternatively, combine all ingredients in a large jar and use an immersion blender to blend until smooth and well incorporated.
- Prepare the Warm Pumpkin Milk: For a hot version, place all the ingredients except the garnishes into a small saucepan. Heat over medium-high heat on the stovetop until the mixture is warm and steaming, whisking continuously to combine the flavors thoroughly and prevent scorching.
- Garnish: Pour the prepared pumpkin milk into a serving glass or mug. Optionally, add a dollop of whipped cream on top and sprinkle with a pinch of pumpkin pie spice for extra flavor and presentation.
- Serve: Serve immediately and enjoy the comforting pumpkin spice milk, whether warm or cold.
Notes
- You can use any type of milk, including almond, oat, soy, or cow’s milk, based on your preference or dietary needs.
- Adjust pumpkin pie spice to your taste preference; start with 1/4 tsp and add more if desired.
- Maple syrup is a perfect vegan alternative to honey.
- Whipped cream garnish is optional and can be substituted with coconut cream for a dairy-free option.
- Ensure to whisk well while warming to prevent the milk from scorching.
