A creamy and flavorful Salmon Dip combining both hot and cold smoked salmon with cream cheese, sour cream, and fresh dill for a delicious appetizer or snack. Quick to prepare in just 10 minutes, perfect for gatherings or casual entertaining.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

Flavorings

  • 1/2 garlic clove (pressed)
  • 1 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp freshly chopped dill
  • Pinch of salt and pepper

Salmon

  • 4 oz hot smoked salmon
  • 2 oz cold smoked salmon

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Place the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, pressed garlic, lemon juice, hot smoked salmon, cold smoked salmon, chopped dill, salt, and pepper into a food processor.
  2. Pulse the Mix: Pulse a few times at high speed to begin blending all the ingredients together thoroughly.
  3. Scrape and Continue Blending: Scrape down the sides of the food processor with a spatula to ensure no large chunks of salmon remain and pulse a few more times until the mixture is smooth and evenly combined.
  4. Serve or Chill: Serve the salmon dip immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to use for better flavor melding.

Notes

  • Using both hot and cold smoked salmon provides a richer, more complex flavor profile.
  • Allow cream cheese to soften to room temperature for easier blending.
  • Adjust lemon juice and garlic to taste preferences.
  • This dip pairs well with crackers, sliced vegetables, or toasted bread.
  • Keep refrigerated and consume within 3 days for freshness.
