Ingredients
Base Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
Flavorings
- 1/2 garlic clove (pressed)
- 1 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp freshly chopped dill
- Pinch of salt and pepper
Salmon
- 4 oz hot smoked salmon
- 2 oz cold smoked salmon
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: Place the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, pressed garlic, lemon juice, hot smoked salmon, cold smoked salmon, chopped dill, salt, and pepper into a food processor.
- Pulse the Mix: Pulse a few times at high speed to begin blending all the ingredients together thoroughly.
- Scrape and Continue Blending: Scrape down the sides of the food processor with a spatula to ensure no large chunks of salmon remain and pulse a few more times until the mixture is smooth and evenly combined.
- Serve or Chill: Serve the salmon dip immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to use for better flavor melding.
Notes
- Using both hot and cold smoked salmon provides a richer, more complex flavor profile.
- Allow cream cheese to soften to room temperature for easier blending.
- Adjust lemon juice and garlic to taste preferences.
- This dip pairs well with crackers, sliced vegetables, or toasted bread.
- Keep refrigerated and consume within 3 days for freshness.
