Ingredients
Basic Ingredients
- 1 (8oz.) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and to make cleanup easier.
- Prepare Dough: Open the crescent roll package and carefully roll the dough out into a large rectangle. Ensure all perforations are sealed by pressing them together to create one continuous sheet.
- Add Cheese Filling: Evenly sprinkle ½ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese and ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese onto one half of the prepared crescent dough.
- Fold and Seal: Fold the dough over the cheese-covered side, creating a pocket. Press the edges firmly with a fork to seal the cheese inside and prevent leakage during baking.
- Add Toppings: Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup mozzarella cheese and ½ cup cheddar cheese on top of the folded dough. Then evenly distribute the grated parmesan cheese, garlic salt, and finely chopped parsley over the top to add flavor and a beautiful finish.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 15 minutes or until the breadsticks turn golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Slice and Serve: Allow the breadsticks to cool slightly, then slice into individual pieces for serving. Enjoy warm as a cheesy appetizer or snack!
Notes
- Make sure to seal the crescent roll dough well to avoid cheese leaking out during baking.
- You can customize the cheese blend by adding other types like provolone or pepper jack for a different flavor profile.
- For extra flavor, brush the top with melted butter before baking.
- Serve with marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
- These breadsticks are best enjoyed fresh and warm but can be reheated in the oven for a crispy finish.
