Ingredients
Pizza Base
- 1 12-inch pre-made pizza crust
Spread and Toppings
- 3 ounces garlic herb spreadable cheese (such as Alouette)
- A few jarred or canned grilled marinated artichokes
- A handful of fresh baby spinach
- A handful of shredded mozzarella cheese
- Some jarred sun-dried tomatoes or sun-dried tomato pesto
- Parmesan cheese (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) to ensure it’s hot enough to crisp the pizza crust and melt the cheeses evenly.
- Assemble the Pizza: Spread the garlic herb spreadable cheese evenly over the entire pizza crust. Then, layer on the grilled marinated artichokes, fresh baby spinach, and add a few pieces or dollops of sun-dried tomatoes or tomato pesto. Finally, sprinkle a generous handful of shredded mozzarella cheese over the toppings.
- Bake the Pizza: Place the assembled pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes to cook the crust and melt the cheese thoroughly.
- Broil for Browning: Switch your oven to broil and broil the pizza for an additional 3 to 4 minutes. This step gives the cheese a beautiful, golden-brown finish and adds a slight crispiness to the toppings.
- Optional Topping and Serve: Once broiled, remove the pizza from the oven and optionally sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor. Slice and serve immediately. Enjoy your easy and tasty spinach and artichoke pizza!
Notes
- Use a pre-made crust to keep preparation quick and easy.
- If you do not have garlic herb spreadable cheese, cream cheese mixed with garlic powder and herbs can be a substitute.
- Adjust the quantity of sun-dried tomatoes or pesto to your taste preference.
- Broiling in the final step is key for a perfectly browned top; watch carefully to prevent burning.
- For a crispier crust, pre-bake the crust for 3-4 minutes before adding toppings.
